Like the Vice-President he urged them to be patient and listen to the concerns of students, whilst at the same time, being farsighted with a defined vision.  He advised them not to think about writing history, but rather work towards this vision.

The SRC President-elect on his part was inspired by the presence of the Deans and Vice-President with the "....hope that the future of the Madina Institute of Science and Technology, MIST is very bright. This thought streams from my personal experience of the leadership and transcending values you have showcased within the four corners of this institution." He expressed his gratitude to the various stakeholders who participated in forming the Council and most especially ".....the Electoral Commission for the tireless and impartial services they rendered in ensuring a free, fair and peaceful election.  I wish to say Kudos to Zilal Muhammed Ibn Chambers and his dedicated team".

He urged the students to grant the Executives the necessary cooperation as they assume office to server and champion the students interest. He Reminded them of the African proverb " A single strand of a broom cannot sweep the floor, but when these strands are brought together, they produce remarkable results".

He advise the students who wish failure during his term of office to reconsider their decision. He referred them to ex-President Barak Obama's saying "Hoping your president fails is the same as hoping your country fails, and it's not patriotism.
